About CARE Australia

CARE Australia is a leading international aid organisation that works around the globe to save lives and defeat poverty. We know we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

We put women and girls at the heart of our work. Their access to equal opportunities represents a powerful and effective opportunity to end extreme poverty. When one woman escapes poverty, she will bring four others with her.

What is Walk in Her Shoes?

Walk in Her Shoes is a fundraising and team-building challenge to raise funds for CARE Australia.

How am I making a difference?

Too often, women and girls bear the brunt of poverty. Girls miss out on school, women face violence, and many women all over the world don’t have secure, paid jobs.

By signing up to Walk in Her Shoes and getting sponsored, you can raise funds to help create a more equal world for women and girls.

Every dollar you raise will provide women and girls with the education and life skills they need to build a better, brighter future.

How does it work?

Taking part is easy. Register your interest now and we will keep you updated about key dates and how to take part. You will hear from us when it's time to start your team fundraising page and provide tips to help you reach your fundraising goal. Plus each team member can request to receive a pedometer to track their steps.
